Book Formatting
It
is important to have your book properly formatted.
As you may know by now, it is all about presentation.
Your fonts should be readable; paragraphs should be lined up correctly,
and headers created if needed.
A variety of book designs is available for your consideration.
CB Publishing & Design offers the following book designs:
In some cases, special trim sizes other than the ones listed above are
available. Paperback is standard but
hardback is also available upon request. It will take 2-4 weeks longer to
produce hardbacks.
We will recommend a layout for your book.
Your manuscript will be formatted to your book specifications.
Our book designers will insert the table of contents, page numbering,
title, pictures and copyright pages. Additional formatting options are available
upon request.
Most trade books are “perfect bound”.
Perfect binding is
a
type of book binding in which a layer of adhesive holds the pages and cover
together
on soft cover books. The spine may have
the title and name of the author printed on the spine.
During
the initial consultation with our publishing consultant, let us know what type
of design you have in mind. We will
also recommend a design for your book based on our initial discussions.
